Residents in Dixie and across Ward 3 have suffered through basement flooding and property damage while city infrastructure updates drag on year after year. As Councillor, my priority on stormwater is three-fold:
Fast-Track Capital Work
Accelerate the Dixie-Dundas Flood Mitigation and Little Etobicoke Creek drainage construction so homes are protected immediately, rather than letting project timelines stretch out over decades.
Secure Senior Government Grants
Fight for federal/provincial disaster mitigation funding so flood defences are built without placing the full financial burden on local property taxpayers.
Protect Homeowners Directly
Expand municipal rebate programs for homeowners to install backwater valves and sump pumps, giving Ward 3 families immediate protection inside their basements.
